Congratulations on making it to the end of the work week on this Friday – September 11. The weather map is showing off shades of green with rain chances in the forecast for all of Texas today. Its not often I get to say that so lets enjoy it! Varying degrees of probability mean some folks won’t get wet today but others most definitely will get a decent batch of rain. Rain chances will be highest tonight across South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley but we’ll also see precipitation chances across the southern two-thirds of Texas. For Saturday rain chances will clear out except for the Rio Grande Valley and South Texas.

Temperatures will only climb into the 70s across the Texas Panhandle and South Plains today. 80s to mid 90s are in the forecast for the rest of Texas but worry not – a more powerful cold front is pushing south today and will bring more comfortable temperatures for Saturday. Low temperatures tonight will range from the mid 50s to the mid 70s. Noticeably cooler temperatures will be noted tonight along and north of Interstate 20 with 50s and 60s tonight along with much lower humidity values.
