Isolated showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast today across the Texas Panhandle, West Texas, Northwest Texas, Concho Valley, Big Country, and Hill Country. By far the vast majority of you will stay dry today. Coverage of rain will remain under 20 percent today. No severe weather in the form of hail, severe wind, or tornadoes is in the forecast. Any activity that develops will weaken/dissipate around sunset.

High temperatures will climb from 90-105 degrees today across Texas. Hottest temperatures will be noted across the Rio Grande Valley and Deep South Texas. The Texas Panhandle will be on the lower end of the temperature spectrum. Heat index values will be 1 to 3 degrees above air temperature. Those lucky enough to experience a shower will see rain-cooled outflow drop temperatures into the 80s for a time. Otherwise skies will be partly cloudy with fair-weather cumulus in the afternoon hours.

For tonight low temperatures will range from 67 degrees to 82 degrees. Most of Texas will have temperatures in the mid 70s. The upper 60s will be in the Texas Panhandle, South Plains, Northwest Texas, and the Alpine Mountains.
