July 15, 2015 Texas Weather Roundup

Good Wednesday morning and welcome to another July day in Texas. Our feature presentation will be a repeat of yesterday with an encore expected tomorrow. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s by lunchtime across Texas. Most folks will end up in the mid to upper 90s this afternoon. The Permian Basin and Deep South Texas should once again reach the triple digits. Higher humidity values along and east of Interstate 35 will experience heat index values of 98 to 103 degrees this afternoon. A low chance exists for a stray thunderstorm in the Texas Panhandle this afternoon. Everyone else will remain dry. Temperatures will range from the upper 60s in the Panhandle, West Texas, and Hill Country to the upper 70s in the urban cities and South Texas.

Texas will remain under the influence of a high pressure resulting in continued dry and hot weather through the weekend. A pattern change could result in slightly cooler weather sometime next week. Meanwhile we’ll be heading into southern Nebraska today to chase storms. Be sure to follow along on our social media accounts (including Instragram) for chase updates throughout the day.
