A Flash Flood EMERGENCY has been declared for Travis and Williamson Counties including Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Taylor, Granger, and Georgetown. An extremely dangerous and life threatening flood situation is developing. 2 to 5 inches of rain has fallen over the past two hours and will result in major flooding. This has the potential to produce extremely significant flash flooding including in areas that typically do not flood. Avoid travel if at all possible and do not drive into flood waters. Those near creeks, streams, and rivers should be prepared for rapid rises and move to higher ground if ordered to evacuate. This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY!
