Storms continue to fire and increase in intensity across central Texas where the atmosphere has recovered from this morning’s convective outflow and has become much more unstable.  A severe thunderstorm near Goldthwaite at the moment is the one we’re currently watching with the potential for tornadic development as it moves northeast towards Evant and Hamilton.  Across north central Texas, the storm which produced a confirmed tornado and multiple funnel cloud reports near Denton has scooted off to the northeast with a new reports of a confirmed tornado near Gunter in southeastern Grayson County. For the remainder of the afternoon, folks within the latest Moderate Risk outlook below will need to continue to monitor the weather for additional severe threats…especially those in central Texas where conditions are the most favorable for additional severe weather development through the afternoon and into the early evening hours.
