April 28, 2015 Texas Weather Roundup

Today is going to be on the cool side for a late April day. High temperatures will range from the low 60s across the Permian Basin and Northeast Texas into the lower 70s across South-Central and Southeast Texas. We’ll see upper 70s to around 80 degrees in Deep South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley which is still on the cooler side of things. North winds will continue across all of Texas today as the upper level storm system that brought rain to parts of Texas this morning continues to move east. Drier air will filter in resulting in a decent day with a respite from the more humid air experienced this past weekend.

Rain chances across North, Central, Northeast, and East Texas will dwindle after lunch but clouds will be tough to burn off. No hazardous weather is expected today but some locations may still be dealing with residual flooding from heavy rains since Sunday. After this morning we look to be in a fairly tranquil pattern through the workweek with little to no rain expected. Enjoy the quiet weather because May and more chances of severe weather return next week.
