A broken line of strong to severe thunderstorms continue to push east/southeast in Southeast Texas. These storms were along Interstate 10 from Columbus east through the Houston metro to near Liberty. Individual thunderstorms are moving more easterly but the line as a whole is making slow progress to the south. All this is being caused by a cold front which will gradually cause the activity to shift south through 9 PM. Conditions remain favorable for very large hail, localized damaging winds, and a brief tornado. Another storm with large hail is just about to move into Houston and has a history of producing golfball size hail. We should see activity diminish or move offshore after 10 PM.
