Today will be a decent late Winter’s day for the western half of Texas with partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will range from the mid 60s in the higher elevations and mountains into the lower 70s across the lower elevations and plains. We’ll see more clouds than sun today across the eastern half of Texas into Deep South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley. It’ll feel like a spring day down in the RRV with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s in a humid environment. Low 70s are expected across South-Central Texas into Southeast and East Texas under mostly cloudy to cloudy skies today. The cool spot in Texas will be parts of North and NOrtheast Texas where we’ll see areas of rain late this morning into the afternoon hours. High temperatures will remain in the low to mid 60s with the highest rain chances from the D/FW Metroplex northeast to Paris into Southeast Oklahoma. We may see a quarter to half inch of rain. Severe weather is not a threat today. Rain chances will diminish later this evening across Northeast Texas before ending completely Saturday morning. After that we’ll remain dry all weekend with spring-like temperatures in the upper 60s to mid 70s across all of Texas.
