Winter Weather Advisories have been posted until 9am Monday morning for the following counties in western north Texas: Hardeman, Foard, Wilbarger, Wichita, Knox, Baylor, Archer and Clay. This includes the cities of Wichita Falls, Chillicothe, Quanah, Vernon, Munday, Knox City, Seymour, Holliday, Henrietta and Lakeside City. Temps across the area have dropped to between 32 and 35. Additional light rain is expected to develop over the next few hours and transition to mainly freezing rain and sleet after midnight. Light icing is likely on area roadways especially on elevated surfaces such as bridges, overpasses and elevated objects such as car windshields. Take extra precautions if you’re driving around tonight and into the morning hours.
