Friday Evening Winter Weather Video Update

We’ve put together a small video briefing to explain the latest forecast information regarding winter weather potential on Sunday into Monday. At this time we’re in the initial stage of the game. Remember that there will be forecast adjustements as new data arrives and narrows in on the eventual outcome of the winter weather event. I do anticipate there will be travel problems Saturday Night into Sunday in the Texas Panhandle where snow will be the primary precipitation type. Sleet and freezing rain are anticipated Sunday Night into Monday from West Texas and the northern Permian Basin eastward through Northwest Texas, West-Central Texas, the Concho Valley through North and Northeast Texas. Accumulations are possible and a winter storm watch has been issued for areas where confidence in significant ice/sleet accumulations is highest at this time. Once again we do expect some forecast changes and additional winter storm warnings/advisories to be issued tomorrow and on Sunday.

Be sure to check back frequently for forecast updates. We’ll be here and please don’t hesitate to contact us via social media (look below) if you have any questions.
