A freezing rain advisory has been issued for western sections of North Texas until 10 AM this morning. This advisory runs west of a Gainesville-Decatur-Mineral Wells-Eastland line which is where an area of rain mixed with sleet is currently falling. A cluster of elevated thunderstorms is dropping precipitation in an area with temperatures in the 31-32 degree range. Surface roads will remain wet but bridges may become icy until temperatures rise above freezing later this morning. Metal surfaces, plants, and less traveled roads may also pick up a thin layer of ice over the next hour or two.
