One more night of chilly mid-winter temps, then we warm up over the weekend and stay warm for several days into next week!  Saturday will be the warmest day with highs mainly in the 70s across most of the state, with a few 80s sprinkled in across parts of the panhandle and west Texas.  Everyone will want to be outside on Saturday in teeshirts, shorts…and white legs!  Haha!

LUB Weekend

Screen Shot 2015-02-05 at 6.35.24 PMFor tonight, clear skies across the panhandle and western parts of the state will allow for lows to drop down into the 20’s and low 30’s overnight. Patchy ground fog will be possible tomorrow morning for this region as well.  Cloud cover will linger over much of the eastern half of the state which will limit overnight cooling to within just a few degrees of where its at now.  Areas that clear overnight across this region could also see some fog/freezing fog development.  This will be something monitored overnight by local forecasters, so we’ll be looking for updates overnight on that.  Highs tomorrow, quite nice with 70s across the western half of the state, and 60s across the eastern half under some lingering clouds and remnants of yesterday’s cold front.

A strong cold front looks to arrive by mid-week as well.  Not seeing any strong indications of significant winter weather with next week’s system, but we’ll certainly keep our eyes on it just in case.  If nothing else, we’ll get more rain which we still need!
