Springlike Temperatures & Elevated Fire Danger Today

2015-01-17_3-01-50

A beautiful Saturday is in store as above average temperatures bring springlike weather and an elevated fire danger. Most vegetation is dormant since we’ve had multiple days of hard freezes. That means grass fires have the potential to spread quickly today. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny as high temperatures climb from the upper 50s in the Panhandle into the lower 70s across South-Central and Deep South Texas. Winds could become gusty this afternoon so it will feel like a spring afternoon for sure. Here’s a short list of cities and high temperature forecasts this afternoon. I hope you’re able to enjoy the outdoors today!
