Days like today make for an easy forecast with not very much to talk about in the weather department. Temperatures will quickly climb into the 70s across all of Texas this afternoon. In fact parts of South Texas could even climb into the lower 80s which is record-territory for January. Skies will be mostly clear across all of Texas today which will help temperatures quickly warm up today. Honestly this will feel like an April afternoon versus one in late January. Winds will be a bit stronger today which will cause an elevated fire danger. We’ll see rain chances increase by the end of the work week into the weekend as our next storm system enters the region. There is some indication that parts of the Texas Panhandle may see some snow with half an inch to one inch of rain possible acros the Hill Country into Central Texas. We’ll have a detailed blog post on the rain chances in a separate post later today.
