After a very cold start this morning temperatures will rise decently by this afternoon but considering where they started off at its still going to be a cool day. Skies will become mostly cloudy by this afternoon across the southwestern half of Texas. High temperatures will be highest across the Panhandle into West Texas and the Rio Grande Valley. The coolest temperatures will actually be across North Texas into Southeast Texas. This isn’t the usual high temperature variations we typically see across Texas but alas its how it will be today. Clouds will continue to increase tonight as Friday’s storm system continues to influence the region. Rain chances are low today and we’re not anticipating any precipitation until tomorrow.
