Light rain with a few sleet pellets is currently falling across portions of Central Texas into the Brazos Valley. This activity is moving east/southeast and continues to develop this morning. Surface temperatures are above freezing where precipitation is falling so no accumulations are expected early this morning. Temperatures have slowly been falling this morning and we end up seeing a few spots in Central Texas fall to or just below freezing later this morning. If that occurs we may have very minor accumulations of ice on elevated surfaces. While I don’t anticipate this to be anything more than a low-end event it only takes 0.01″ of ice accumulation on a bridge to make it slick. Little to no accumulation of sleet is expected this morning.
