* Snow continues to fall across the southwest Texas Panhandle east to Interstate 27 from Amarillo south to Plainview and Lubbock. The upper level continues to lift eas and the southern edge of the snow band will move through Lubbock over the next 30 minutes with only light snow expected in Lubbock after that. Locally heavy snow will continue to fall in the Southwest Panhandle into Amarillo where snow is quickly accumulating. So far the snow is having trouble moving north of Interstate 40 but we’ll be watching it as it will likely start falling in the Northwest Panhandle early Saturday morning.

* Rain and thunderstorms continue across North, Central, and South-Central Texas. Individual cells are moving northeast but the overall rain is making progress east. The stronger cells will produce frequent cloud to ground lightning and heavy rain. This band of storms is moving over Interstate 35 from near San Antonio north into Central Texas and the D/FW Metroplex. It will continue to move east into Saturday morning.

* A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for Clarksville, Avery, New Boston in Northeast Texas until 3:15 AM CST. A few bridges near Clarksville have been flooded.
