* Freezing rain is falling across the Alpine Mountains into the COncho Valley. Road conditions are slick and hazardous across this area and additional ice accumulations will occur as freezing rain falls through sunrise.

* Freezing rain is falling across western North Texas roughly along/west of a Gainesville, Denton, Azle, Granbury, to Hamilton line. Ice will likely accumulate on elevated surfaces first but surface roads will also ice over where temperatures are at/below 29 degrees (such as it is in Wise/Parker counties). Highway 287 in Wise county and Interstate 20 in Parker county are both accumulating ice and are becoming hazardous. Additional precipitation will develop and move into the region for the next several hours. Additional significant ice accumulations will occur across western North Texas likely making travel practically impossible and extremely dangerous.

* Temperatures in most of the D/FW Metroplex remain just above freezing with rain. We may see temperatures drop to freezing in the western D/FW metroplex through 5 AM but the overall icing threat should remain limited to a couple bridges with Dallas unlikely to have any issues.

* A cold rain is falling across East and Southeast Texas. No winter weather issues will occur as these areas are well above freezing. That said its going to be a cold and dreary morning.
