Chase Status

This is our lowest chase readiness level. At this time our chance of chasing in the next five days is less then 10%.

The next level of our status level is Slight. At this time our chances of chasing in the next five days are between 10% and 40%. This status is often used when a potential setup is entering our longer range outlook. This is our standard chase level.

When our chase status is at Moderate we are beginning preparations for chase within the next five days. With this level our chance of chasing in the next five days is between 40% and 70%.

This is our highest readiness level and signifies a 70% or higher chance of a chase in the next five days. At this level we have likely posted at least one blog discussion related to the upcoming setup.

This status is used on the day of the storm chase and signifies we will have our Live Streaming Video along with our GPS online.
