Dense Morning Fog with Afternoon Sun

After thunderstorms impacted portions of the Red River and North Texas last evening all is quiet this morning. Dense fog has developed along the Red River Valley in Texoma south to Highway 380 and into portions of East Texas and Southeast Texas. Patchy dense fog is possible in other parts of the state through mid-morning. As temperatures warm and dewpoint spreads rise we’ll see fog quickly dissipate by 9-10AM. Give yourself a little extra patience on the morning drive. Morning fog will be a daily issue through the weekend. Besides that no weather hazards are projected through Tuesday. Temperatures will remain above-average with high temperatures in the 80s to lower 90s. Overnight lows will be in the 50s and 60s. A few showers will be possible on Monday in South-Central Texas. Evening festivities on Monday should be able to go off without a hitch.

Changes come into the picture by mid-week as an upper level storm system approaches. Differences between long-range weather models preclude more than low broad brushed rain chances at this time. As details become more clear so should the forecast and any potential for rain and cooler weather. The remainder of October will feature temperatures around ten to fifteen degrees above average with mostly dry weather.
