Reinforcing Cold Front Arrives Overnight

We warmed up a bit today with high temperatures this afternoon to just above where they should be at this time of the year.  Another reinforcing shot of cooler and drier air arrives overnight which will keep us a few degrees below normal for the remainder of the week and into the weekend. Lows tonight will drop down into the upper 40s and low 50s across the panhandle, with 50s and 60s across north and central Texas. The warmest locations overnight will be further south along the coast where upper 60s to low 70s will be reached by early tomorrow. For tomorrow afternoon, mild and sunny with highs in the 70s across the northern and central regions, and 80s across the coastal plains and upper 80s across deep south Texas. No rain is expected for most areas tomorrow with only a 10 to 20% chances of rain for coastal deep South Texas.

We are also looking at a nice dry spell which is expected to last through the weekend and into the early part of next week as well. We do have another storm system on the horizon which may generate a few showers and storms by the middle of next week…including a chance for some severe storms…but that’s too far out for us to provide any details at this point.  Between now and then, enjoy our beautiful weather!
