7:40PM Severe Weather Update

  • A severe thunderstorm is located from North Richland Hills to Fort Worth to Burleson. This storm has a history of producing multiple 60-70 MPH wind gusts over the past 15 minutes. Those damaging winds will spread east towards D/FW Airport, Arlington, and Mansfield over the next 25 minutes. Those at the Rangers game should get ready to move to shelter. Quarter size hail may also accompany this storm. Localized flash flooding is also possible due to very heavy rains and slow storm movement.
  • A severe storm is located from Laguna Park to Crawford. This storm is moving east at 30 MPH and will impact Waco in the next 30-40 minutes. Hail to the size of quarters and wind gusts over 60 MPH are possible. Localized flooding may occur due to very heavy rain rates.
  • A broken line of sub-severe storms extents from Gatesville to Evant, Lometa, to San Saba. A severe storm is between San Saba and Brady with quarter size hail. All this activity is making progress to the east/southeast. This activity may impact portions of Central Texas later this evening.
  • A supercell storm is making slow eastward progress on Highway 190 between Eldorado and Menard. The biggest hail is indicated about 16 miles east of Eldorado at this time. Some stones may be up to the size of baseballs along with damaging wind gusts over 65 MPH.
