Today will be another typical April day for Texas. We’ll see high temperatures warm into the 70s and 80s by this afternoon with modest low temperatures tonight. There is the chance for a few showers and thunderstorms across coastal parts of Texas into the Rio Grande Valley today. Likewise isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible across the Texas Panhandle late this afternoon as modest moisture return provides just enough fuel to support the chance for a few storms. Widespread severe weather is not expected today but a few storms may produce quarter size hail and gusty winds over 60 MPH before dying down a few hours after sunset.
