Our cluster of severe storms in the panhandle are starting to congeal into a blob of rain, hail and high wind gusts. Â Great technical term there! Â Storms south of DFW in the Waco vicinity were briefly warned earlier this evening and have now settled down quite a bit, but not before causing some issues around Gatesville with golfball size hail reported. Â And we have one “little engine that could” storm over by Sweetwater that has been consistently tornado-warned since about 6:30 this evening with one confirmed tornado sighting and several funnel cloud sightings. Â Not seeing any reports of damage or injury from that and we’re thinking this was mostly over open fields in less populated areas of Fisher and Nolan counties. Â So, for now, we’re just watching the cluster of storms in the panhandle which are forecasted to maintain a healthy convective pattern overnight and track east across north Texas. Â We’ll continue to monitor throughout the evening and keep you up to date if anything new pops up!
