The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a Flash Flood Watch for their West Texas counties beginning Thursday morning and continuing through Friday evening. Snyder, Big Spring, Midland, Odessa, Pecos, and Fort Stockton are in this watch. Widespread rain totals of 1 to 2 inches are likely with some locations receiving up to 4 inches of rain. Moisture levels are going to be 200 percent of normal, thus the potential for very heavy rain and flash flooding.

FRIDAY AS MID LEVEL CIRCULATIONS FROM TROPICAL STORM MANUEL SPIN
NORTHEASTWARD OVER MEXICO AND ACROSS WEST TEXAS. THE FIRST SUCH
CIRCULATION IS EXPECTED TO ARRIVE OVER THE REGION EARLY THURSDAY,
WITH AT LEAST ONE MORE MID LEVEL DISTURBANCE EXPECTED TO MOVE OVER
THE REGION THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY. IN ADDITION, A COLD FRONT
WILL MOVE SOUTH INTO THE AREA AND PROVIDE A FOCUS FOR SHOWER AND
THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT. MOISTURE LEVELS IN THE ATMOSPHERE WILL
INCREASE, WITH PRECIPITABLE WATER NEARING 200 PERCENT OF NORMAL
